Pleated Histories is a statement of an arrival inspired by contour maps of previous and current development, the drawings were transposed and layered. The ‘pleated’ elements referenced the intertwining of historical landscape of the site; acknowledging and celebrating history of site - future and advancement, contemporary skills and education. The authenticity of the experience in the integrated sculpture consists of the approaching and then the act of entering a permeable space visually connecting the inside and outside.
