In 2019, I read about a Shanghai-based company and a major landholder in Australia has been ordered to stop clearing land at Yakka Munga cattle station in the Kimberley. The company has acted on "unauthorised clearing" under the Environmental Protection Act. The burden of relatively everything that has to do with the purchasing power parity of China has brought intense examination of my identity as a Chinese immigrant. The Kimberley stories shared to my ears are equally as important as the stories I hear from my Ah Ma (grandma). The Best Kept Secret is a response about gently touching the earth.

Caution to visitors! As a visitor, you come to the Kimberley for the poetry. If you stay, then stay because of the stories.
