I’m delighted that The Neighbour at the Gate has arrived at Glasshouse Regional Gallery as its regional NSW tour continues.
The Neighbour at the Gate is a major exhibition presented by the National Art School Gallery, with a guest Curatorium led by Clothilde Bullen (Wardandi Noongar and Badimaya Yamatji) with Micheal Do and Zali Morgan (Whadjuk Balladong and Wilman Noongar).
It is deeply rewarding to see the exhibition enter a new place and connect with new communities. My heartfelt thanks to the Glasshouse Port Macquarie team for welcoming and caring for the exhibition, and to the many audiences who have visited and supported the show throughout its journey.
Presented by the National Art School Gallery, The Neighbour at the Gate brings together First Nations and Asian Australian artists to explore shared histories, cultural identities and experiences of belonging.
Exhibition dates: 26 September–29 November 2026
Location: Glasshouse Regional Gallery, 30–42 Clarence Street, Port Macquarie, NSW
